Provincial Grand Master
Rev Justin Trevelyan Parker
At least three generations of my family have been Freemasons, so in many ways I am simply continuing the “family business.” My late Great Uncle, a devoted Mark Master Mason, once told me as a young man that they would have to pry his Mark apron from his cold, dead hand. At the time I wondered why the degree meant so much to him, but over the years I have come to understand.
For me, the Mark Degree embodies the very best of Freemasonry – rich with variety, colour, humour, tragedy, triumph, and deep meaning. It is truly the fourth regular step, answering so many questions for the enquiring mind. The Royal Ark Mariner degree, too, offers a fascinating glimpse into the earliest days of speculative Masonry, carrying a message of hope in the face of adversity – something our age needs more than ever.
Alongside my busy life as a Solicitor, Notary Public, Parish Priest, and Regimental Chaplain, I treasure the Mark as a place of refuge: a source of friendship, fraternity, and joy. Wherever you travel in this fine Province of Worcestershire, you can be assured of a warm welcome, excellent labour, and fellowship of the highest order.
After all, if you aren’t enjoying Mark Masonry – you’re simply doing it wrong!
