Remembrance Day Parades Redditch and Kidderminster Sunday 14th November 2021.

The Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Eric John Rymer, would like to encourage a good attendance from both his Executive and the local Lodges, especially Grand Officers, but he fully appreciates that many are involved in other local commitments to mark the occasion.

Details received from Roger Bennett regarding the Royal British Legion order of procession for the Redditch Parade :-

  • Band
  • Clergy and Choir
  • Lord Lieutenant (or rep)
  • Civic Vip`s PM, Mayor, Leader and opposition, Poppy Appeal Organiser and centenary Wreath Bearers.
  • County and Borough Councillors
  • Union Flag.
  • RBL and Women section standards.
  • Other Standards -( Including Masonic Standards)
  • All Wreath and Token of Remembrance Bearers (including .PGM`S or Representatives)
  • Regular Forces
  • Reserve Forces
  • EX Service Contingents
  • Uniformed Public Services
  • Uniformed Service Youth Organisations.
  • Youth Organisations.
  • Other Representatives of Freemasons (In discussion with the RBL they would like us to fill this spot to try and form a barrier between the Members of the Public. Seemingly the young children got quite scared because Members of the Public pushed by them.)
  • Members of the Public.

and in addition the Masonic details are :-

  • The Lodge Rooms will be open at 9.30am (Tea/Coffee and biscuits will be provided by the Hall).
  • Wreaths will be arranged and paid for by the Masonic Centre
  • Form up for Parade by 10.15 latest.
  • Parade to Church.
  • Service will be conducted OUTSIDE due to Covid.
  • After Service and laying of Wreaths Masons will return to Hall.
  • If enough interest is shown, then a light lunch will be provided.

The following received from Allan Bretherton regarding the Royal British Legion Kidderminster Parade

‘ Once again, Kidderminster Masonic Temple Association (KMTA) will be taking part in the Parade. This year we have the pleasure of the (Craft) D.P.G.M. supporting us and we, the KMTA Executive, would like to see as many of our members taking part in this Parade and supporting the D.P.G.M.    We have permission to wear our Regalia for this Parade.    Your support for this event would be appreciated, please let me know the approximate number of Brethren from your unit that will be supporting us.’

Details for the event are follows :-

  • The parade will muster in New Road Car Park at 10.15am ready to move off at 10.30am prompt
  • There will be a Service at the Town War Memorial at approximately 10.55am.
  • Persons wishing to lay a wreath on the War Memorial should contact the Parade Marshall (Mr Keith Newman) at the parade assembly point who will
    inform them of the procedure to be followed.
  • Copies of the service sheet for use at the War Memorial will be available to all attending the parade.
