RW Bro FC Spencer

RW Bro Francis Charles Spencer, popularly known as 'Frank', is the thirteenth Provincial Grand Master for the Mark Province of Worcestershire, having been installed by the Pro Grand Master MW Bro John Hale in June 2005. Frank is a very successful businessman, being Chairman of his own company.

A Warwickshire Freemason in the Craft, having been initiated into Bedford Lodge No 925, Frank became a Royal Arch Mason, again in Warwickshire, in 1986. However, he soon became attracted to the Mark Degree and was advanced into the Moseley Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 667 in Worcestershire in March 1988. His rise in this Order can only be described as meteoric. He became Master of the Lodge for the first time in 1991 and then rapidly rose through Provincial ranks becoming Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies in 1998 which office he occupied until 2005 when he became Provincial Grand Master.

In the meantime he was the Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies in Mark Grand Lodge from 2000 to 2003. This office took him to various parts of the world supporting the national Rulers, including the Grand Master, in the execution of their duties. He is of course a member of many Mark Lodges including the Grand Master's Lodge. He was installed as Commander of the Moseley Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners No 667 for the first time in 1995 but has been in the chair on two subsequent occasions in 1996 and 2008. Being a member of many other Royal Ark Mariners Lodges he is also a member of the Grand Master's Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners. He achieved RAMGR in 2000.

Our Provincial Grand Master is a member of many other Masonic Orders amongst the more esoteric of which are the Scarlet Cord, Order of the Silver Trowel and the Knights Beneficent of the Holy City.

He is totally committed to the Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Degrees in Worcestershire and has the respect of all Brethren who know him for his dedication and loyalty

W Bro Laurence Eric Bourne

W Bro Laurence Eric Bourne, known as 'Eric', was surprised at being offered and pleased to accept the invitation of the Provincial Grand Master to become his Deputy and was duly appointed in June 2010.

Eric, a retired Secondary School Headmaster, was Initiated in Coronation Lodge No 5680 in November 1978, Installed as Worshipful Master in 1988 and held Provincial Rank as Steward, ADC, ProvJGW in 1997, AsstProvGSec and ultimately ProvGSec in 2000. He was appointed Past Assistant Grand Registrar in 2001.

He was exalted into Kings Heath RA Chapter No 3863 in 1984, Installed as 'Z' in 1991 and 1996 and held Provincial Grand Rank as ProvGStB, Asst ProvGScribe E and ProvGScribe E in 2001. He was appointed Past Grand Standard Bearer in 2002.

Eric was advanced in All Saints Kings Heath Lodge of MMM No 1462 in July 1992 and Elevated in All Saints Kings Heath RAM Lodge No 1462 in July 1993. He was Worshipful Master and Worshipful Commander in 2000 and 2001 respectively.

In addition he is a member of Worcestershire Installed Masters' Lodge of MMM No 1409, Centenary Lodge of MMM and RAM No 1623 and Ruspini Lodge of MMM and RAM No 363 [London] with two Honorary memberships, one in Rome and the other in Salzburg!

In Worcestershire, Eric was appointed ProvGSO in 2002, PProvGJW in 2007 and achieved Provincial RAMGR in 2006. He was appointed Grand Inner Guard in the Mark in 2008 and appointed to RAMGR in 2009.

Between 1992 and 2008, Eric became a member of many Masonic Orders and holds Grand Rank in 10 Orders which includes the United Orders, where he is Provincial Sub Prior for Worcestershire and Royal and Select Masters, where he is the District Grand Master for Wyvern District, which covers Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.

Outside Freemasonry, Eric is married to Anne, a competitive National and International Swimmer so they tend to spend their time together indulging in their interests of travel, food and wine.

In addition, Eric spent 8 years with the Home Office Prison Department at the Parole Board and as a member of the Board of Visitors at HMP Birmingham. He became a Birmingham Magistrate in 1990.

W Bro Adrian Church

W Bro Adrian Church was initiated into the Old Carolian Lodge No 7599 in November 1974. Becoming Worshipful Master 1983/4 and a Provincial Grand Steward in 1985.

Adrian is also a member of WIML No 6889, WPGSL No 9142 and the George Taylor Lodge No 9819. Hon Grand Treasurer of the Grand Lodge of Andorra and a Past Master of Masonry Universal Lodge No 6.

Exalted into Chapter in Hope and Charity in November 1987, 1st Principal in 1992/3 and again in 2004/5 he is also an active member of several other Chapters at home and abroad.

Advanced into Lechmere Lodge of MMM No 59 in February 2004, Worshipful Master 2010/11. He is a Past Master of Centenary Lodge of MMM No 1623, soon to be WM of Stability Lodge No 1281 and St George's Lodge No 1920. A member of the WIMM Lodge No 1409 and appointed a Provincial Grand Steward in 2009.

Elevated in the Ark Lodge No 59 in April 2004, Worshipful Commander in 2009. Founder member of the Centenary Lodge of RAM No 1623 in 2010 and a member of WICL No 1409.

In addition Adrian is a member of 11 other orders and is either a subscribing or honorary member, of a total of 31 Masonic memberships.

The younger of two sons, Adrian's father and grandfather were both Freemasons. He is single and is currently caring for his mother who is 95 and, although frail, is still in fairly good health. He is employed as a Trust and Probate Specialist. He is a member or associate of a number of professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is a past member of the International Council of Management. He has seven years experience of organising National Conferencing.

In his own words Adrian would tell you that "Most of my leisure time is spent on Freemasonry but I also enjoy reading and socialising with friends".
