The D.P.G.M. weekly circular : Issue 4 (12th June 2020)

Brethren.

I hope you’re enjoying the weekly papers I have been sending out and in particular the history of the beginnings of Mark Masonry in Worcestershire. I will soon be sending out the history of the formation and Consecration of the Province of Worcestershire. I am still looking for material to be able to keep sending out these weekly papers. If you have any information on the beginnings of your Lodge, please let me have it.

We have now entered into a new Mark Masonic year for Worcestershire. Last Saturday should have been our Provincial Grand Lodge meeting at Kings Heath, and to invest all the Officers for the ensuing year. Although this was not possible in the present situation, the Brethren concerned have still taken Office for the year 2020-2021. It is hoped that the PGM will be able to fully invest them in the near future.

Last Tuesday should also have been the Investiture meeting of Grand Lodge in London and again those Brethren from Worcestershire who should have been Invested will still take up their Grand Rank honour as from last Tuesday.

This week Brethren I am sending another quiz, this time called ‘Who’s a Pretty Boy? The attachment shows twelve photographs of Mark Masons who should be very well known to you here in Worcestershire. Not as easy as it seems as the photographs show these Brethren long before they ever became Freemasons.

Clicking the button below will take you to the picture quiz

Who’s a Pretty Boy?

For those of you who prefer not to click buttons in an E-mail you can find the picture quiz on our Mark Provincial website under ‘Who’s a Pretty Boy?’ in the ‘Downloads’ Section. If you are stumped by the photographs I guarantee it will bring a smile to your face trying to imagine who they can be. Have a go anyway and lets see how many you get correct. Please email me some answers, as last time a numbered list with the names alongside will be fine, to :-

dpgm@worcestershiremarkpgl.org.uk

Whatever you are doing, please do it safely and keep learning that ritual.
