Saturday 20th October 2018 saw what may have been a unique occasion. The Almoners and Charity Stewards Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1943 held a dedication for a coffer of gavels which had been presented to the Lodge by the Worshipful Master at the previous meeting.
As a Worcestershire Lodge with a Worshipful Master whose home Province is North Wales, the stage was set for an outing to Llandudno where RWBro EJ Rymer, Provincial Grand Master for Worcestershire dedicated the gavels with some ritual prepared especially for the event by his Assistant Provincial Grand Master, WBro JW Whiteley. They were accompanied by a number of the Provincial Officers of the year.
Representing the host Province, the Provincial Grand Master for North Wales, RWBro P Talbot lent his support to proceedings, accompanied by his Deputy and other Provincial Officers.
Taking full advantage of the event, the Lodge made a weekend of it, with a social event taking place on the Friday accompanied by non-Masonic guests, who were given a talk on old Llandudno during the Lodge meeting on the Saturday before joining up again for lunch.
In all it was a very successful weekend, enjoyed by all those who attended.
